Texas Star Quilters Guild bringing show to Canton

The Texas Star Quilters Guild will present its annual quilt show Oct. 12 and 13 at the Canton Civic Center, according to information from member Beverly Pendergrass.
The show, “Butterflies are Free,” will feature about 100 quilts as well as wall hangings, baby quilts and other quilted items, according to the announcement.
There also will be vendors, demonstrations and an exhibit by the East Texas Embroidery Guild. Patrons also can register to win a quilt in drawing that will raise money for charitable organizations, according to the announcement.
Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 12 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 13. Admission is $3 for adults.
