National Night Out event set for Palestine

The Palestine Police Department will host a National Night Out community party from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Reagan Park.
The events will include live music, activities for children, crime prevention and drug awareness educational exhibits, cookouts, exhibits from local businesses, neighborhood watch program information, and an ID program for children.
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships and promote community safety.
