Free seminar on COPD Thursday in Hawkins

The University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler lung specialist Dr. Julie Philley will discuss chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, during a free health seminar in Hawkins Thursday.
COPD is the third-leading cause of death in the U.S. Dr. Philley, during “Dine with our Doctors,” will outline steps people with COPD can take to improve their quality of life.
The event will be at noon at the Hawkins Community Center, 301 Lynch St. in Hawkins. A light lunch will be provided. The seminar is free, but seating is limited. To register, call 903-877-7147.
