Body of missing Smith County man found in Anderson County
A 33-year-old man has been found dead in Anderson County 10 days after he was reported missing.
Amy Palacios reported her brother Adam Palacios missing on Sept. 10, according to a Smith County Sheriff's Department news release.
Ms. Palacios said it was not uncommon for her brother to leave the area for several days without contacting anyone.
However, he had been gone longer than usual.
On Thursday, Smith County investigators found Palacios' body in a remote area of Anderson County, according to the news release.
A cause of death could not be determined at this time because of the body decomposition.
Both counties are working together to find the person or people responsible for Palacios' death.
