Tournament Director Chris Singer of the Tyler Tennis & Swim Club, aided by well-known and professionally certified state referees Millard Countryman and Tommy Whitehead and their team, covered seven sites in a most challenging set of venues and a most hospitable manner. I heard many parents comment on how much they liked for their children to play the annual Tyler tournament because of the welcoming and pleasant family atmosphere.
We are so pleased each year that Ellen’s name is associated with such a positive event for our city. Our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who helped in our 22nd annual tournament.

After calling multiple places with no luck, Bill at Aamco Transmission on Broussard Street called me back, then actually came in and opened up just to help us.
He found the problem (not the transmission like we thought), fixed it and we were on our way. He was like an angel sent to help us. He could have taken advantage of two unknowing females, but he ended up not even wanting to charge us at all. I am forever grateful to him for helping us in our time of need and I wanted to let the people of Tyler know what a great guy they have in their town.
God bless you, Bill.
People can make a difference, but often their labors go unnoticed.
In-depth reporting such as this makes a big difference in letting us know just what has actually been accomplished. Great job.
Mike, keep up the good work for the citizens of Tyler.
