Grand Saline resident arrested for car theft

A Van Zandt County man is facing a state jail felony charge for allegedly stealing a car earlier this month.
Andres Harris, of Grand Saline, is charged with theft of property valued between $1,500 and $20,000, according to a news release issued by the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Office Thursday.
The release reads that deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle Aug. 13. Nine days later, during an undercover operation, the vehicle was recovered and Harris was arrested for the crime, according to the release.
His bond was set at $50,000, the release reads.
