East Texas

Tyler area residents, Taylor Clark, Miss Northeast Texas; Cyrstal Brindley, Miss Rose City; and Rachel Hackbarth, Miss Tyler; will compete in the Miss Texas USA Pageant at the Hilton Americas Hotel in Houston.

The preliminary competition takes place Sept. 1. The winner will be crowned on Sept. 2, at 3 p.m., said pageant organizers.

Pageant organizers said contestants who do well must exhibit poise, personality, intelligence and beauty.
