The Tyler Fire Department and Tyler Police Department responded to a bomb threat at Carmike Cinemas on South Broadway Avenue in Tyler shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.

Local Carmike management notified authorities of the non-specific bomb threat received at the Carmike headquarters in Columbus, Ga., according to a news release from the Tyler Fire Department.
While the Carmike Theater in Tyler was not specifically mentioned in the call, fire officials took precautionary measures and searched the property, according to the release.
No devices were found, and the theater was expected to stay open. Officials have been in contact with the local FBI, and the incident remains under investigation.
