The Rusk County Auto Task Force and Rusk County Crime Stoppers are asking residents to help them locate a wanted fugitive.

Charles Glenn Allen, 25, of Kilgore, currently has two active felony warrants in Rusk County, one for aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and one for aggravated assault with deadly weapon, a second-degree felony.

The warrants stem from an incident on April 7 at a residence on County Road 168.

Rusk County Sheriff's Sgt. Viki Penny said two victims met with Allen at the residence to possibly purchase a vehicle he had for sale or was trying to sell.

When they went to look at the vehicle, she said Allen distracted the victims, and once they turned back around, Allen had a gun pointed at one victim and told him to lie down and put his face in the dirt.

Meanwhile, another man wearing a ski mask came from around the residence with a weapon, which he pointed at the second victim, Sgt. Penny said. Both victims were told to stay on the ground until they heard a horn blow.

Sgt. Penny said $1,500 was stolen out of the vehicle as the robbers were leaving the scene. An additional $7,000 was stolen from the first victim.

She said the Rusk County Auto Theft Task Force is involved because the car the group was looking at was stolen out of Gregg County earlier this year.

Allen was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in addition to aggravated robbery because of the firearm and threatening to harm the victims, she said.

Anyone with information on Allen is asked to call the Rusk County Sheriff's Office at 903-657-3581 or Rusk County Crime Stoppers at 903-655-TIPS(8477). Rusk County Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to his arrest.
