15-year-old bicyclist killed after collision with sanitation truck

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a bicyclist died Tuesday night when he collided with a sanitation truck on Texas 31 West at Greenbriar Road near the Tyler city limits.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a bicyclist died Tuesday night when he collided with a sanitation truck on Texas 31 West at Greenbriar Road near the Tyler city limits.
The bicyclist, 15-year-old Martin Guiterrez, of San Antonio, was not wearing a helmet when he collided with the vehicle.
Guiterrez was in East Texas visiting relatives and was riding a bike in the area. Family members went looking for him when he had not returned to them before sundown, and they arrived at the scene, one woman recognized him by a gold chain he was wearing.
