UPDATE: Offensive sign removed; no arrests at Chick-Fil-A
By KENNETH DEAN

Tyler police will not charge a man who has agreed not to any longer display a sign at the Chick-Fil-A on Troup Highway.

The sign had language which some could interpret as offensive. The Tyler Paper will not print the sign message due to its nature.

Tyler Police Spokesperson Don Martin said that officers were dispatched to the location because of the sign. Martin has said before that a person can be cited or arrested for disorderly conduct for offensive language and or actions in a public location.
