Lindale and Red Springs Firefighters Fighting Grass Fire
Lindale and Red Springs firefighters are fighting a grass fire off of County Road 498 north of Farm-to-Market Road 498.
The fire is reported to have started when a vehicle got stuck in a sandy area and caught the grass on fire.
There were initial reports that at least two homes were endangered, but Lindale Fire Chief Jerry Garner was overheard over radio stating the fire is not spreading quickly.
