Tax Cuts, August 1
On July 25, Republican House members voted by a large majority to give taxpayers a break by extending “the Bush Tax Cuts” to all Americans.
On July 26, when the bill arrived in the Senate, immediately 51 Democrats (a majority) voted to trash the bill since it included no tax increases.
It seems the standoff continues. Republicans want no tax increases to Americans. Democrats will not be satisfied until tax increases are voted into law.
So there you are.
