Tyler Pipe Driver Reunion Saturday
Former Tyler Pipe drivers will meet in Tyler on Saturday for their annual reunion.
"Several hundred former drivers still reside in East and Northeast Texas and many of those are expected" to attend, spokesman Leroy Mallory said in a statement. "Tyler Pipe Industries operated a private fleet for more than 50 years and was for many of those years the largest of its kind in Texas."
The event, which will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sweet Sue's Family Restaurant, 3350 SSW Loop 323, is a continuation of the tradition of the former drivers meeting on the first Saturday in August each year, he said. Former members of management and those involved in affiliated departments also are invited.
