Tyler Police Arrest 23-Year-Old Man In Shooting Case
Tyler police have arrested a man in the Sunday night shooting that injured two people.

The department, assisted by Whitehouse police and the U.S. Marshals Service, arrested Undra Choice, 23, of Elgin, on Monday.

Choice is charged with two counts of aggravated assault in relation to two people who were shot in the 1000 block of Shaw Street about 9:50 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release issued by the department.

The victims were taken to Mother Frances hospital, where one was treated and released, according to the release. The other victim was listed in serious condition at the hospital as of 2 p.m. Monday.
According to the Texas Penal Code, aggravated assault is a second-degree felony.

According to Smith County Jail records, Choice was in the Smith County Jail on a total bond of $600,000 as of 2:45 p.m.
