Thanks For The Help, July 22
RAVES:
Recently, a friend heard a tiny kitten screaming from inside an iron pipe. Upon investigation he realized the kitten was hopelessly stuck in the pipe. He called me, but more importantly, he called a friend in Henderson who had an electric saw that could cut metal. His friend, Juan, gathered his two sons, Luis and Carlos, and headed to Tyler to help.
I called the fire department and was informed that “the Tyler Fire Department does not rescue animals” and that they were sorry.
I called the “O'Malley Alley Cat Rescue” and the SPCA of East Texas and both rallied to the crisis, working for hours to find help.
Thank goodness, the great guys from Henderson arrived. After several hours, the kitten was rescued, traumatized, but OK. These guys performed a miracle and saved a small kitten from terrible suffering and a tragic death.
The highest praise to Juan, Luis, and Carlos, who drove from Henderson late last night to save this small, precious life.
