It was unclear this morning whether the trial for a Tyler salon owner accused of injecting several women seeking breast and buttock augmentations with a gel substance will go forward this week.

Judge Kerry Russell of the 7th District Court reset the felony case for Carmel Mitchelle Foster, 39, to the court’s recall docket on Tuesday morning, prosecutor Richard Vance said. Ms. Foster, who is charged with two counts of practicing medicine without a license, faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

One woman was hospitalized and placed on a ventilator because of a pneumothorax, a buildup of air and blood in the lungs after she received the injections. The woman later was released from the hospital.
