Tyler Man Arrested, Charged With Continuous Sexual Abuse Of Young Children
A Tyler man was arrested on Friday and charged with continuous sexual abuse of young children after a 9-year-old female victim reported that she and several of her friends of the same age had been sexually assaulted, according to a press release from the Tyler Police Department.
The police responded to Shiloh Pines, a mobile home park at 2525 Shiloh Road, to investigate the sexual assault of a child. Thomas Harold George Brookbank, 21, is being held in the Smith County Jail on a $750,000 bond, the release stated.
The victim stated that the assaults had occurred in a wooded area, where the suspect known as “Tom” had made a club house, inside the mobile home park on numerous occasions over the past month, according to the release.
Investigators were called to the scene and were able to obtain evidence to secure an arrest warrant for the suspect.
