Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to pop up each afternoon and evening this week, but chances will be lower than they were last week. Upper-level support has shifted to central Texas and southern Oklahoma. Afternoon high temperatures will begin to rise each day and reach the mid-90s by Wednesday, where they will remain through the weekend. Winds will be south to southeast 5 to 10 mph. Most of East Texas remains abnormally dry. Tyler is almost 5 inches below normal rainfall year-to-date.
