Sunday Fire Destroys Lindale House
Three East Texas fire departments responded to a Sunday afternoon fire that consumed a home.
Lindale, Dixie, Mineola and Van fire crews were called to the 1400 block of Creekside Drive, in the Highlands subdivision, about 2:20 p.m. to reports of smoke and fire alarms, Chief Jerry Garner said at the scene.
No injuries were reported in the blaze and the cause is still under investigation, he said.
He said when Lindale firefighters arrived on scene, the home's roof already was collapsing.
