Friendly Boy, 11, Needs A Loving, Forever Family A Loving Family Forever Family Together
Jakerian walks into Marquie’s Trims and Cuts in Tyler for a hair cut.

“Just an edge up please,” he says.

Judy Miles with Child Protective Services describes Jakerian as happy go lucky and energetic.

“He likes to make people smile,” she adds.

This 11-year-old boy is friendly, well-mannered and loving. He enjoys playing outside. “I like playing basketball and football. I like playing video games and I like skateboarding.”

Foster care has actually been good for Jakerian giving him some stability. After some rough times in his past, he is doing much better now. “He’s one of the top ones now for his behavior and for good grades,” said Miles.

“I’m good at math, but I’m really good at PE,” says Jakerian with a big smile.

He is excited about being adopted and wants a family who will accept him for who he is.

“He told me he’s interested in finding a home for himself.” Miles goes on to say, “He’s settled to the fact that he knows he doesn’t get to go back home anymore.”

“I just want a family that can take you places and treat you like you were at home ... and take care of you,” said Jakerian.

Jakerian would do best as the youngest or only child in a family. “He just needs that attention kids that age need and I think he would do well with other children. He just needs some one-on-one attention and a lot of love, just like all kids his age do.”

Walking out of the barber shop Jakerian likes his new hair cut and he’s hoping for a new family soon.
“Seems like a normal 11-year-old kid. He’s got his whole future ahead of him.”
