New Charter School Slates Meetings, Set To Open This Fall
Vista Academy of Tyler has scheduled several public meetings to provide people with more information about the new charter school.

The school is scheduled to open this fall and will serve kindergarten through fourth-graders in the Tyler area.

The school is accepting enrollment ap-pli-cations.

Meetings are scheduled for 6 p.m. July 19, July 26, and Aug. 2 at the school, 3105 University Blvd., Suite B, in Tyler.

Vista Academy will operate in the facility that formerly housed Stepping Stone Elementary and C. Brown Middle School.

Stepping Stone is closing those campuses but will continue to operate a preschool and before school and afterschool care programs.

Vista Academy is part of ResponsiveEd, one of the largest charter school districts in Texas with more than 50 schools.

An open enrollment charter school, the academy is available to all students and is tuition free.

ResponsiveEd officials have said the aim of the campus will be to provide a college preparatory environment with a rigorous education system and a focus on character development. For more information, call 903-504-5690.
