Last Word, July 8
Harry Bergman of Frankston’s simply stated comment, along with the quote from Thomas Jefferson, was absolutely the best piece I have ever read in the opinion section. How perfectly put, and how ironic it was published on a day we are celebrating our independence.
I am so thankful he reminded the readers that our Supreme Court justices are simply human beings. They too have agendas, they relish the power, and they want to leave a mark for future generations to study and to be marveled at in law schools. They have no one to answer to and cannot be voted out of office.
