Police are still searching for the person who stabbed Justice of Peace Quincy Beaver’s secretary multiple times only feet from her apartment this morning.
Doyle Lynch, Tyler Police Department, said a 911 call was made to Tyler police about 8:20 a.m. from a man stating he arrived home to find a woman had been stabbed.
Police immediately surrounded the area around 408 N. Broadway Ave., at the “Moore Grocery Loft” apartment building.
When officers arrived on scene in the second floor apartment they found the 40-year-old Victoria Massey had been stabbed multiple times in the neck and body, but was breathing.
EMS transported the Ms. Massey to East Texas Medical Center where she is now listed in critical condition.
Lynch said the only information they have at this time is that a black male wearing a red shirt was seen leaving the building shortly before the woman was discovered.
One neighbor told the Tyler Morning Telegraph she saw a black man running from the apartment building with blood covering his face.
Anyone with information about the suspect involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833).
Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
