Fire At Tyler Apartment Complex

One unit sustained heavy damage, and the occupants of an adjacent unit are displaced due to water damage, fire officials said.

The Tyler Fire Department responded to a two-alarm structure fire this morning at 4901 Kinsey Drive at Quail Creek Apartments.
Fire Investigator Laura Mason said the initial call received at 11:44 a.m. and the caller reported that they saw smoke coming from one of the apartments.
The first arriving engine called for a second alarm. Five engines and one ladder company, along with a district chief and an investigator, responded to the scene.
“The fire started in one of the apartments and caused damage to several others. The cause is still under investigation and there were no injuries. Crews are still on the scene at this time,” she said.
There is no word yet on the extent of damage done to the structure.
