Steve A. Kendall
A memorial service for Steve A. Kendall, 74, Tyler, is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 21, 2012, in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Gray and the Rev. Neil Gray officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Bascom Cemetery.
Steve was born July 4, 1937, in Tyler to the late Jerome and Julia Bryant Kendall and passed away on June 18, 2012, in Tyler. He was a graduate of Chapel Hill High School and was a roofer before he retired from Carrier. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Kendall.
Steve is survived by his sons, Steve W. Kendall of Tyler and Cleaton Kendall and wife Sue of Houston; daughters, Penny Payne and husband Jerry and Stephanie Kendall, all of Tyler; sisters, Bertha Jackson and husband Olin of Tyler and Ruby Shaffer and husband Dean of Arkansas; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
