Gloriosa Daisies descend from our native Rudbeckia hirta or Black-Eyed Susan. These are Rudbeckias on steroids!
Blooms from 6-9 inches on 24 inch plants are what you get so they will fit nicely into any size garden. The large daisies come in all shades of orange, gold, mahogany, and mixtures of these colors. Definitely not timid, these flowers will knock your socks off.
Gloriosas are easily grown from seeds planted in early spring or look for plants in bloom in June at your local garden centers and nurseries. They require all day sun, well-drained soil, and regular water. Considered annuals, they often live longer than one year.
If you like cut flowers you will love these daisies. The more you cut, the more they bloom! Great big flowers in sunny summer colors -- what fun!
