Smith County Deputy Hit By Car While Directing Traffic

Dispatchers with the Smith County Sheriff’s Office and Department of Public Safety confirmed that a Smith County Sheriff’s Office deputy has been hit by a car while directing traffic.
According to dispatchers with the county, a deputy, whose name is not released and is in an unknown condition, was struck outside of Tyler Metro Church in the 14000 block of Texas Highway 110 South.
