Marine Welcomed Back From Afghanistan

Corporal Michael Barfield of the United States Marine Corps arrived home in Tyler Sunday.
Cpl. Barfield has served in the Marine Corps for four years and is now home permanently. He served in the infantry in Afghanistan for seven months, and before that he served in Washington D.C.
Cpl. Barfield is a native of Chapel Hill. He married his wife Hannah in December of last year while he was home on leave. He was met by his family and friends and members of the "Welcome Home Soldier" organization, all gathered to honor him and thank him for his service to America.
