Coquat Retains Win After Recount
A manual vote recount in the Hawkins mayoral race won't change the outcome of Saturday's decision.
Will Rogers petitioned the city for a recount after losing by one vote to Howard Coquat, who won the election with 97 votes.
The recount, which took place Tuesday afternoon, resulted in the same tally as Saturday: Coquat had 97 votes, Rogers had 96 and Tom Parker had 43 votes.
