UT Health Science Center Annexed Into Tyler City
The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center at Tyler is officially part of the city.
The Tyler City Council agreed this morning to annex the 593.11-acre tract and bring the facility into the city limits.
The hospital is situated near the southwest intersection of State Highways 271 and 155.
Wednesday's action moves the boundary of Tyler's city limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction and Tyler City Council District 3, officials said.
