Tyler Area Builders Event This Weekend
The Tyler Area Builders Association plans to offer consumers plenty of ways to show a little love to their homes at this year's Home Products Show.
The 32nd annual event is set for 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Harvey Convention Center, 2000 W. Front St.
"As the economy is improving, homeowners may finally be able to make those upgrades and additions they've been waiting for," Tyler Area Builders Association Executive Vice President Libby Simmons said in a statement.
"This year's Home Products Show is sure to provide plenty of inspiration and ideas for homeowners to show their most important investment a little love."
The event will include two seminars.
At 2 p.m. Saturday, "Remodeling Tips" will discuss what home projects to tackle now and what adds value to your home.
At 2 p.m. Sunday, "Advanced Technology in the Home" will present the coolest gadgets, best energy saving options and latest time-saving inventions available for homes.
About 2,000 visitors attended the Home Products Show last year.
Tickets are available at the door and at the TABA office at 1504 Grande Blvd., Suite A, during business hours this week. They are $5 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. Food donations will be collected for the East Texas Food Bank and door prizes will be given away every 30 minutes. No wagons, strollers or rolling carts are allowed at the event.
The Tyler Area Builders Association serves Anderson, Cherokee, Freestone, Henderson, Navarro, Smith, Wood and Van Zandt counties. The mission of TABA is "Building Better Builders" by promoting quality, accountability and professionalism in the home building industry.
