TJC, Suddenlink To Offer Training
The Tyler Junior College School of Continuing Studies and Suddenlink have partnered to offer a training program in telecommunications installation.

The course will provide hands-on training in video, high-speed Internet and telephone installation, according to a statement about the program.

Students who successfully complete the course will be prepared to take an exam for certification by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers if they choose.

The program is open to high school graduates and high school seniors on path to graduate, according to the statement.

Students have to take basic reading and math assessments, pass a criminal background check, provide proof of age, and proof of high school enrollment or graduation.

For more information, prospective students may contact Judie Bower, at 903-510-2969 or jbow@tjc.edu.
