I was surprised this past week to learn of the unholy and unlikely alliance between Susan G. Komen Foundation and Planned Parenthood. Why? Because the Komen Foundation’s primary focus is saving women’s lives through research, detection, and treatment of breast cancer.

But Planned Parenthood’s main focus is taking lives of unborn babies by operating as the nation’s largest abortion provider (over 340,000 abortions in 2010 alone).

Reports this week reveal that Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms, but only visual and tactile breast exams and if a lump is detected.

The patient is referred to a facility that performs mammograms. Thus, Planned Parenthood’s connection with breast cancer is minimal at best.

In light of Komen’s overnight cave-in to the pro-abortion forces, maybe they should change their name to Susan G. Koward Foundation.
