Palestine Resident Arrested After Car Hits Building
One man was arrested Thursday night after police said he crashed his car into a building.
Tyler police chased down and arrested a suspected drunken driver whose 1994 Ford F-150 truck was reported crashed into a building at 1001 E. Lake St. about 9 p.m., according to a news release issued by the department. The building is owned by East Texas Medical Center.
The truck's driver also apparently struck a car in the building's parking lot before hitting the building, the release reads.
The driver, a 42-year-old Palestine man, is charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving while intoxicated, according to the release.
