One man was injured after being struck by a car Thursday night.

According to a news release issued by the Tyler Police Department, officers were called to the 2200 block of WSW Loop 323 shortly after 6 p.m. A 65-year-old man was struck by a 2006 Dodge Ram truck while crossing the loop from north to south, the release reads.

The man was taken to East Texas Medical Center with "serious but it appears non-life threatening injuries," the release reads. A citation was not issued to the truck's driver, the release reads.

Officers are still investigating the accident, according to the release.
