Spanish Seminar Series Begins April 3 At TJC
Spanish-speaking professionals interested in learning more about management skills will have the opportunity through a seminar this spring.
The Tyler Junior College Small Business Development Center will offer a Management Skills Certification Seminar in Spanish, with the first course in the series beginning April 3.
An on-site registration and information session about the seminar will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the TJC West Campus, Regional Training and Development Complex, 1530 SSW Loop 323, Room 134.
Registration will continue until the first course date or until the class is full, according to a statement from the college.
The six-week program will include six entrepreneurial courses taught by bilingual instructors with expertise in their topic area, according to the statement.
Topics to be covered include legal matters, business planning, accounting and taxes, banking, advertising and strategic thinking for small businesses, according to the statement.
The seminar is designed for people who either own a small business or are considering starting their own small business, according to the statement.
The classes are considered information-only with no outside reading assignments or tests given.
Participants will have the opportunity to question instructors about the topics covered and a notebook containing the material presented by each instructor will be available to each participant.
