Discovery Science Place Partnering With UT Tyler
At a press conference on Monday, representatives from The Discovery Science Place and The University of Texas at Tyler announced a new collaboration between the two institutions.
The collaboration will bring improvements to the educational programs and free up resources to focus more on museum exhibits, officials said.
Officials said Tuesday that although Discovery Science Place employees will become employees of UT Tyler, the museum's nonprofit status will not be affected.
