Firefighters: Smoke At Tyler Paper Likely From Old A/C Unit
UPDATED: 10:00 p.m.
Tyler firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming out of an air vent in the Tyler Morning Telegraph newsroom on West Erwin Street.
Fire officials said the burning smell and smoke inside the Tyler Morning Telegraph office was likely caused by a worn-out air conditioning unit.
District Fire Chief Joey Wiggins said old motors will often "burn a little" when in use.
No damage was reported to the building.
