Brook Hill School Invites East Texans To Attend Open House Saturday
By KELLY GOOCH

Staff Writer

East Texans are invited to see what The Brook Hill School has to offer.

The school, in Bullard, will host an open house for prospective families from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday on campus, 1051 N. Houston St.

Director of Admissions Ginger Bell said the school sent about 7,000 postcards and put the event on Facebook in preparation for the event.

The goal, she said, is for families who’ve heard about Brook Hill to come see it for themselves. Teachers will be in classrooms to answer questions, and families may walk the halls to get a sense of what Brook Hill is about, she said. The American Freedom Museum also will be open during the open house, and attendees can take a guided tour through the school.

“We like people to get out here and walk through,” Mrs. Bell said, adding that the school tries to have at least one open house each year.

There have been open houses with 12 people and some with 100, Mrs. Bell said, but organizers always prepare for 100.

She noted that generally, many students who inquire about Brook Hill end up enrolling.
“Once they get out here and see what we offer and (realize) they can do it, (they enroll),” she said. “We’re very proud of how many enroll once they come out here.”
