Tyler Chapter Of Beta Sigma Phi To Name Valentine Sweetheart At Luncheon Today
The Tyler chapter of Beta Sigma Phi announced that it will name its Valentine sweetheart at a luncheon at 11 a.m. today at Willow Brook Country Club.
The sweetheart must be a lady of "outstanding and good moral character, faithful both in attendance and community service. She must be innovative in making a difference for others and living Beta Sigma's motto of 'life, learning and friendship,'" according to a statement from the sorority.
The sorority was founded to bring women together to experience social, educational and cultural endeavors. It is made up of women of all ages and backgrounds, according to the announcement.
The sorority's new "sweetheart" will serve in that capacity for a year" and serve as an example of one who cares about the community.
