Tyler ISD Board Meets Monday To Vote On New Lee Football Coach
Fairfield ISD athletic director and head football coach Darrell Piske could be on his way to Tyler ISD.

TISD Superintendent Dr. Randy Reid said on Friday that Piske is the lone finalist for the Robert E. Lee High School head football coach/campus coordinator position.

The TISD school board is scheduled to vote on this hire on Monday.

Fairfield ISD is a Class 3A school district with about 1,700 students districtwide.

Piske is 53-44 as a head coach, including 23-19 in four years at Fairfield. Previously, he was at Valley Mills High School where he went 30-25.

This past year Piske led Fairfield to an undefeated regular season before being upset in the Class 3A Division II bi-district round by Lorena.

If hired, Piske will take over a Lee football team coming off a 1-9 season that missed the playoffs for the first time since 2005.
