Berman Out Of Hospital
State Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler, was out of the hospital today after receiving his first chemotherapy treatment to battle non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Berman was released Thursday, according to a news release issued by his office.
"We have some of the finest care givers and medical facilities in the world right here in Tyler, Texas," the release reads. "I hope my situation will encourage others to persevere when they face similar circumstances."
According to the document, Berman will remain at home to rest while "overseeing my state duties."
