Tyler ISD officials have confirmed that they are investigating allegations of misconduct by a John Tyler High School employee toward a student.

District spokeswoman Laura Jackson would not say what type of misconduct was being investigated but did say it involved a male employee and female student.

She said the campus and district began the investigation immediately upon learning of the allegations.

The employee, who is not a teacher, has been placed on leave pending the outcome of the investigation, Mrs. Jackson said.
