RANT: 75 miles per hour on I-20? You’ve got to be kidding me. At present there is always something in the news about crashes on I-20 that take several lives. Now they’re going to up the limit to 75 which means most travelers and the semitrailers will be going 85 just to keep up.

I don’t like driving on I-20 anyway, but now it will be avoided like the plague. I’m afraid the highway death rate will be off the charts. Who is the dimwit in Austin who came up with this “brain freeze?” Isn’t TxDOT suppose to make our lives and travels safer?
