‘Passion Of The Christ’ Auditions Set Feb. 4
Auditions for the East Texas Regional Production of “Passion of Christ,” will be at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at Lake Palestine UMC, 2889 Farm-to-Market Road 315 S. in Chandler.

AUTHOR TO SPEAK
Christian author Jen Hatmaker will speak Feb. 3 and 4 at First Baptist Church of Whitehouse.
Her presentation, “Make Over: Revitalizing the Many Roles You Fill,” addresses what women from the Bible have to say about balancing sanity with great expectations. Mrs. Hatmaker will share insights that will help attendees manage time, set priorities and boundaries and organize.
The conference begins at 7 p.m. on Feb. 3 and runs 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb 4.
Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the church office, 801 E. Main St., on the website, www.firstw.org or by calling 903-839-3333. Ticket price includes a full lunch on Saturday.

SANCTITY OF HUMAN LIFE EVENT
C.A.R.E. (Christ-centered Abortion Recovery of East Texas) will hold its Sanctity of Human Life event at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rose Heights Church in Tyler, with a musical performance by Shelly Wilson and a message from guest speaker Rebecca Kiessling. Mrs. Kiessling is a family law attorney, adoptee, home school adoptive mother of five with three biological children, and will deliver a presentation of her own life story, “Conceived in Rape.”
GOSPEL CONCERT
Galilee Baptist Church of Hallsville will have a Gospel Concert at 6 p.m. Sunday featuring The Jackson Southernaires, The Galilee Baptist Church Mass Choir of Hallsville, The Galilee Baptist Church Male Chorus of Longview and the New Mellowtones. The concert will be in the auditorium of Hallsville High School off of Farm-to-Market Road 450.

‘YOU, ME AND DR. V’
“YOU, ME & BIG C” Women’s Cancer Support Group will host “YOU, ME, and Dr. V: A Morning with Dr. Sasha Vukelja, M.D.” from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Marvin Methodist Church in Pirtle Hall.
Dr. Vukelja, a local oncologist, will present her new book: “SEEDS from My Patients: sharing the priceless seeds of faith, hope, and courage that cancer patients have planted in a doctor’s life.” A book signing will follow.
