Grand Jury Returns More Than 100 Indictments
A Henderson County grand jury returned 199 true bills last week, according to information from the office of District Attorney R. Scott McKee. Indicted were:
-- Gene Malloy Dotson, 46, Gun Barrel, arson.
-- Michael Ben Ferguson, 42, Mabank, possession of a controlled substance.
-- Kelly Ann Ashton-Yarbrough, 42, Gun Barrel, four counts of aggravated assault with deadly weapon/intoxication assault.
-- Timothy W. Jones, 44, Athens, misapplication of fiduciary property, theft over $20,000 < $100,000 and tampering with physical evidence.
-- Betty J. Wilson, 67, Athens, misapplication of fiduciary property and theft over $15,000 < $20,000.
-- Hunter D. Thompson, 31, Larue, theft of property $1,500 < $20,000.
-- James Blake Lomonaco, 27, Dallas, evading arrest with motor vehicle.
-- Geanie Mae Swan, 34, Mabank, aggravated assault with deadly weapon.
-- Billy Thomas Jenkins, 53, Athens, prohibited substance in correctional facility.
-- Kenneth Scott Stanton, 46, Chandler, failure to stop and render aid.
-- Grover Carroll Melvin, 45, Fairfield, fraudulent use/possession of identifying information.
-- Fernando Ruiz, 27, Athens, assault family violence by strangulation and obstruction/retaliation.
