A Tyler ISD bus driver was hospitalized early today after being hit by a school district bus.

The wreck occurred about 6:20 a.m. in the district’s bus barn parking lot, district spokeswoman Laura Jackson said.

The man who was hit sustained non life-threatening injuries, Ms. Jackson said.

TISD police were investigating the incident and the district is evaluating transportation department policies in order to ensure drivers’ safety, according to a district statement.
