Matt Flynn Tyler Red Raider Football Camp Set For Friday
The inaugural Matt Flynn Tyler Red Raider Football Camp will take place Friday, June 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Robert E. Lee High School. Leading the instruction at the camp will be the Lee coaching staff.
The cost of the camp is $50, which includes the morning sessions, a speech to the campers by Flynn and lunch in the REL field house.

Appearing will be Flynn, former Red Raider and current backup quarterback for the Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers. Flynn graduated from REL in 2003 and led LSU to a BCS Championship in 2007. He is now in his fourth season in the NFL as a member of the Packers.
Joining Flynn will be fellow Packers quarterback Graham Harrell, a former Texas Tech who rewrote the NCAA record book while in Lubbock, and Josh Hill, a 2004 REL quarterback who led the Red Raiders to their first-ever state championship.
“Quality coaching and instruction as probably the most important elements for building a strong football foundation in young men,” said Andy Bergfeld, who is organizing the youth camp as president of the newly formed Tyler Red Raider Pop Warner Football Association.

“By bringing these former college and current pro players here, along with football coaches at Lee, we will give these youngsters an opportunity they have not had before in East Texas.”
