East Texas

Along with mowing the rights-of-way along highways in the Tyler District, Texas Department of Transportation has a full week of road repairs scheduled throughout East Texas this week.

ANDERSON COUNTY -- Resurface Texas 294 between U.S. Highway 79 and Farm-to-Market Road 322.

Expect daytime lane closures during the work. Flaggers will control traffic.

GREGG COUNTY -- Pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 259 Business in Kilgore between Lantrip Street to the south end of the U.S. Highway 259 Bypass and on Texas Highway 42 Business between Lantrip Street and Kilgore Street.

Expect daytime lane closures during the work. Motorists are encouraged to be prepared to reduce speed and merge in and around the work zone.

Farm-to-Market Raod 2011 will be closed to all traffic between Farm-to-Market Road 2087 and Farm-to-Market Road 349 while damage to the bridge in that area is repaired. The closure is expected to last through June 21.

HENDERSON COUNTY -- Base and pavement repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 2709 between Farm-to-Market Road 316 in Eustace and Texas Highway 19 north of Athens, and on Farm-to-Market Road 2970 between Farm-to-Market Road 753 and the end of state maintenance; repairs through the end of August to damaged bridge railings on the Farm-to-Market Road 315 bridges over Lake Palestine south of Chandler.

Expect daytime lane closures during the work. Flaggers will control traffic. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes if possible to avoid delays.

RUSK COUNTY -- Resurface Farm-to-Market Road 13 between Texas 42 in Price and the Cherokee County Line; base and pavement repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 1662 between Farm-to-Market Road 1798 in Laneville and FM 2753 in Anadarko.

Expect daytime lane closures during the work. Flaggers will control traffic.

SMITH COUNTY -- Pavement repairs on U.S. Highway 271 between North Loop 323 in Tyler and Farm-to-Market Road 2015 near Pine Springs.

VAN ZANDT COUNTY -- Base and pavement repairs on Farm-to-Market Road 3227 between Texas Highway 198 and Farm-to-Market Road 47, and on Farm-to-Market Road 857 south of Grand Saline; and seal coats on Texas Highway 19 south of Canton, Farm-to-Market Road 751 between the Hunt County Line and Farm-to-Market Road 47, Texas Highway 198 between Texas Highway 64 in Canton and the Kaufman County Line, Farm-to-Market Road 315 between Farm-to-Market Road 279 and Henderson County Line, and Farm-to-Market Road 47 between Texas Highway 243 and Texas Highway 198

Expect daytime lane closures during the work. Flaggers will control traffic. Loose gravel may be present for several days after a seal coat application.
